Storytelling Live! with Ingrid Nixon

Storytelling Live! with Ingrid Nixon

Ingrid Nixon is a world-traveled storyteller whose exploration nail-biters, tall tales, traditional and personal stories whisk listeners of all ages away on journeys of the imagination.  Known for her voices, gestures, and animated facial expressions that bring characters to life, her creative approaches to traditional tales make her ancient stories relevant to modern audiences.

Nixon is a champion liar many times over, a claim that makes her mother both proud and worried. After living in Alaska for many years working in the wilds as a National Park Service ranger, she currently hails from Washington State.

“You will want to travel along as Ingrid recounts her journeys; whether they are imagined, stretched, or actually true, you are guaranteed an adventure!”  – Forest Storytelling Festival

Storytelling Live! with Judith Black

Storytelling Live! with Judith Black

Judith Black has been a creator and teller of tales for over thirty years.  Retellings of history from new perspectives, tickling familial dysfunction, ironic explorations of aging, and stories that address our warming world are all fodder for her tales.  Black has been featured on stages around the world, including the Montreal Comedy Festival, the Smithsonian Institution, the Art Museum of Cape Town and NPR.  She is a recipient of the NSN ORACLE Circle of Excellence award.

“Black has culled the minefields of childhood and elevated them through her storytelling to a level of universal experience that is not only painful and poignant, but gut-wrenchingly hilarious.” – The Boston Globe

300 Log Recordkeeping - TOSHA

The TN Chamber, in partnership with Tennessee OSHA, is hosting a 300 Log Recordkeeping seminar in Johnson City.
Local Chamber Members can register for $125.00

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued its controversial final rule to expand electronic recordkeeping requirements for workplace injuries and illnesses and make such records publicly available.

This new rule, effective January 1, 2017, requires certain employers to electronically submit injury and illness data that they are already required to record on their onsite OSHA Injury and Illness forms.

At this seminar, the student will get the information needed to record cases correctly, and will learn when cases should not be recorded.  Correctly recorded data should also be used effectively in your facility to help maintain a safe and healthy workplace. This workshop provides practical hands-on training and information on the recordkeeping system and the OSHA 300 log.

This half-day course will review recordkeeping requirements, maintenance of the OSHA 300 log, reporting & electronic scanning of the 300 log, 300A & 301.

When:
Wednesday, August 9, 2017 8:30 AM thru 12:00 PM

Holiday Inn - JC
