Johnson City Public Library (JCPL) and Watauga Association Genealogists (WAGS) will hold a book sale for used and new genealogical and local history materials on Saturday, September 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in JCPL's Jones Meeting Room. Registration Open for JCPL's Artful Aging Workshops

Johnson City Public Library is accepting registrations for its Artful Aging program, which consists of five-week arts courses led by professional artists for people 50 years and older. The two upcoming workshops are Black and White Film and Darkroom Photography and Art Appreciation, both of which are free and meet every Monday and Wednesday from July 29 to August 28. Sculpture Unveiling and Mayoral Proclamation at Johnson City Public Library

On Friday, May 3 at 5 p.m., Johnson City Public Library will host a sculpture unveiling ceremony and become a designated pollinator-friendly site through a proclamation by Mayor Jenny Brock. The sculpture, called “Pollination,” is made of welded steel and was created by local artist and ETSU art professor emerita Catherine Murray. It will be placed in front of the library in a planned pollinator garden. All ages are welcome to attend the ceremony.
