(JOHNSON CITY, TENN.) The Chamber of Commerce, serving Johnson City, Jonesborough and Washington County, has released a new relocation publication entitled Livability Johnson City. This print and digital magazine will serve as a guide to those looking to move to the Johnson City area.
Livability Johnson City, a product of the national publication group Livability Media, was unveiled to advertisers and partners at a launch party on Tuesday night. In contrast to past relocation guides and resources, Livability Johnson City tells the inspirational stories of the burgeoning Johnson City community and its leaders.
“This project is years in the making,” said Keddrain Bowen, Chamber Board Chair and owner of Fanatics101. “We have been wanting something that tells more than statistics. Livability was able to give us something that tells the real stories of the region and communicates the value of living here.” Livability Johnson City features stories like Johnson City’s established music and arts scene, quality public education system and revolutionary business/entrepreneurial community. Supported by first-hand accounts of people like small business owners, healthcare executives and new and lifelong residents, this magazine expands upon the spreading news that Johnson City is a great place to live, work and play.
“Last year, our community grew by 1.7%. With Livability, we think that number will grow” said Bob Cantler, Chamber President/CEO. “Having this as a way of saying ‘come live here’ and having it to recruit workers, entrepreneurs and young professionals is game- changing. We are thankful to our partners and our advertisers for making Livability Johnson City a reality.”
Livability will be available in hardcopy form at the Chamber’s and advertisers’ offices and digital versions will be linked on the Chamber and Move To Johnson City websites. To learn more about Livability and to view the digital Johnson City version, visit www.livability.com/johnson-city.
