Sculpture Unveiling and Mayoral Proclamation at Johnson City Public Library

On Friday, May 3 at 5 p.m., Johnson City Public Library will host a sculpture unveiling ceremony and become a designated pollinator-friendly site through a proclamation by Mayor Jenny Brock. The sculpture, called “Pollination,” is made of welded steel and was created by local artist and ETSU art professor emerita Catherine Murray. It will be placed in front of the library in a planned pollinator garden. All ages are welcome to attend the ceremony. Johnson City Public Library is hosting the annual Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 from 1-3 p.m. in the library’s Jones Meeting Room.
