Friends of the Library to Hold Annual Spring Book Sale

Johnson City Public Library is hosting the annual Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 from 1-3 p.m. in the library’s Jones Meeting Room. Cash and cards are accepted. Sunday’s sale is an all-you-can-carry sale, in which people pay $5 for as many books and media items as they can fit in a bag. Teen volunteers from Johnson City Public Library’s Stories to Service program will host a pet adoption in partnership with the Washington County Animal Shelter on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Cats will be available in the library’s Jones Meeting Room and dogs will be in the outdoor amphitheater on the far side of the Youth Services department. Johnson City Public Library will host a digital mapping workshop for teens and adults on Thursday, February 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. The session will be led by Geospatial Project Manager Link Elmore from Johnson City’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division.
